Katie Nelson, Ph.D. is a cultural anthropologist and educator. She writes about anthropology, migration, and research methods as well as the intersections of the subfields of anthropology. She is Instructor of Anthropology and Sociology at Inver Hills Community College. She earned her Ph.D. from CIESAS Occidente, a MA from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her BA from Macalester College and serves as Associate Editor of the Teaching and Learning Anthropology Journal.
